For those participants staying in
Holiday Inn at Historic Carradoc Hall on route 7 which is
4 miles away from VSTC and Leesburg (
1500 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176),please make your own reservation and you will pay own room, tax, and incidental charges. The Holiday Inn Leesburg costs $99+tax per night. You may arrive Friday, April 6th and leave Sunday, April 8th. The breakfast is the hot full-american breakfast buffet, not the continental breakfast. You will receive breakfast vouchers upon check-in and they will just need to take the voucher to the restaurant at breakfast. Reservations will be made by Individual Call In and you must call 703-771-9200 or 888-850-8545. Then you must ask for The George Washington Univeristy Physics block to reserve your rooms at the Group Rate [group code is GWP] and guaranteed on a credit card by the cut-off date of 3/23/2012, which is 2 weeks prior to arrival. The Holiday Inn Leesburg has a complimentary shuttle to/from the Washington Dulles Airport and within a 5 mile radius, which can/will extend to GWU VSTC. When you arrive to the Dulles Airport please call the Hotel at 703-771-9200 for pick-up and then schedule the drop-off time with the Front Desk. The Hotel shuttle can hold a maximum of 9 people at one-time and the hours of operation are as follows: Monday - Saturday: 7am - midnight and Sunday: 8am - 8pm. For those who are driving to campus, then please check a link to campus directions at MAP. Those who are staying in a hotel can also use these directions if you will not use the hotel shuttle. Participants should be aware there were road changes about a year ago and GPS and other map directions may still be inaccurate. Two traffic lights were removed and replaced by the current interchange, which is now the only way on and off campus. |
